I made two side tables in tiger maple, each with a drawer and shelf, as a donation for a live auction and fundraiser. Proceeds from the event went to a food co-op underway in my town. Fondly known as MoCo (Morrisville Food Co-op), we learned at the auction that store front construction will start this May. There was an exciting bidding war for these tables — gratifying for me to witness! The table drawers are classically made using hand-cut joinery and have a brass knob pull.
This corner desk was designed to fit to the corner of my customer’s room, with one side facing a wall and the other a floor-length window. Six drawers were created, with two being file drawers. Hard maple wood was used for the case, and birds eye maple for the top and drawer fronts. The customer was delighted with the look and sturdy construction.
The customer of these night tables wanted some bedside storage to tuck away clutter. The 2 drawers and single shelf of these tables fit this request as well as their available bedside space. The custom stain color was mixed to match the finish of their bed. Result: a very happy customer!
